MY TRIP

The wheels are spinning round and round.
The miles stretch forth without a sound.
My thoughts turn inward where peace abounds.
I am content.

The rush of the crowds is found no more.
No one begs, demands, or implores.
I am seeking the solitude of a distance shore.
Where only the seagulls cry out.

This country road with its rolling hills.
Around each new bend my heart just stills.
By the vistas of grandeur, this enthrallment prevails.
With no end in sight.

Meadows full of flowers, fragrant, so fresh.
Winds whispering softly, how my heart is blessed.
This new day dawns early, I am on a quest.
To live this day fully.
